The Tinkertown Museum is on the East side of the Sandia Moutains about a half hour from Albuquerque.  I had seen rack brochures and advertisements for the museum for several years; but the museum was not open when I was traveling the Turquoise Trail.  Easter weekend in 2016, the museum opened for the season and I happened to be in the area.

From Albuquerque, take I-40 East to Routr 14. Head 6 miles North on the Turquoise Trail to NM 536 (road to Scandia Peak). The museum is 1.5 mile on your left.
